Physical Education
We want our children to develop a healthy mind in a healthy body by getting fully involved in the following
activities:
+ Running: It involves a brief period of no contact with the supporting surface. In the case of the 4's,
it is efficient and refined run.
+ Hopping: It involves a one-foot takeoff with a landing on the same foot. The 4's are supposed to hop
four to six times, same foot.
+ Galloping: It combines a walk and a leap with the same foot leading throughout. It is basic but
inefficient gallop.
+ Skipping : It combines a step and a hop in rhythmic alteration. It is one-footed skip.
+ Catching: Catching involves receiving force from an object with the hands,, moving from large to
progressively smaller balls. Fear reaction (turns away).
+Dynamic balance: It involves maintaining one's equilibrium as the center of gravity shifts. Walk on 4 in.
balance beam, alternating feet; performance of basic forward roll.
+ Interaction with others
+ Comprehension of verbal commands
+ Respect of P.E. rules.
