TCA Background

Tabernacle Christian Academy and Rainbow Nursery School was established in 1968 as an outreach ministry of Lighthouse Tabernacle and provides Pre School, Pre Kindergarten, Full Day Kindergarten and Childcare to our community.

A complete history of the school will be posted in the next few weeks.

About Our Principal

His name is Deogratias (Bovic) Buhendwa;  he comes with outstanding credentials. Both his Undergraduate and Master's Degree is in Applied Education. He has been the Principal of a High School, director of an International Language Training and Translation Organization. He has taught at all levels, including nursery, elementary, high school, college and university. He was a language consultant for the United Nations (UNICEF, UNHCR, CARE INTERNATIONAL, SAVE THE CHILDREN FUND,...). He also has taught English at the Belgian Consulate School  as well as at the Swedish and Norwegian Consulates in Congo.. Currently he is teaching at IUPUI in the Department of World Languages and Cultures and in the Department of Continuing Education; he is also teaches French at the University of Indianapolis in the Department of Modern Languages. Apart from being our principal, Mr. Buhendwa is also teaching the Spanish language at TCA in all the classes.

We have known Mr. Buhendwa for quite some time and have found him not only to be qualified, but he is also a man of integrity and concern for education and children.  He has six children of his own.  We would appreciate your supporting him in his noble mission of pressing towards academic and spiritual excellence.
